CCC MFA Photography
Objective: Design a printed publication for Columbia College Chicago’s School of Visual Arts in Photography, highlighting the MFA Program for the graduating class of 2024.
Role: Publication design, art/creative direction
Tools: Adobe InDesign
This project was part of a competitive, limited-enrollment capstone course that partnered students with real clients to produce professional-level design work. Each publication was distributed at the college’s end-of-year festival.
As the sole designer for the CCC MFA Photography Class of 2024 publication, I led the creative direction and design of a 100-page book showcasing the work of every graduate. This project challenged me to craft a visual narrative that honored the program’s legacy while celebrating the individual talents within the class.
Working closely with the MFA Photography department lead, I embraced a minimalist design approach to let the photography speak for itself. I used minimal color and graphic elements, incorporating fragments of the photographs as subtle design motifs throughout the layout.
The publication served as both a keepsake and a professional portfolio catalog.
